Para se tocar clarinete, você não necessariamente precisa possuir um, caso não o tenha, há a possibilidade de pegar emprestado com um conhecido. Uma vez com um clarinete nas mãos, pode se dar início à tarefa. Posicione-se de maneira ereta e com ambas as mão, uma de cada lado, segure o instrumento. Este deve estar à altura da boca formando um ângulo obtuso com a parte superior da mesma. Certifique-se que a ponta de menor abertura esteja voltada para a boca. Envolva esta pequena abertura com a boca e solte ar dentro da própria. Com isso, espera-se que o instrumento emita um som, também conhecido como nota musical. Se reparar bem, notará que ao longo do instrumento haverá outros orifícios espaçados metricamente. Com a ponta de seus dedos, tampe e solte os orifícios de maneira aleatória, simultâneos ou não. Continue soprando para que o som emitido seja contínuo. Lembre-se sempre de recuperar seu fôlego de tempo em tempo, caso contrário o ar contido em seus pulmões pode acabar, resultando assim em um possível falecimento. Isto pode ser feito com um simples abrir de boca seguido de uma inspiração de ar. Cada músico tem seu próprio estilo de melodia e sequência de notas. Pode-se reproduzi-lo ou inventar o seu.

Surround this small opening with the mouth and blow some air into it. With that, is expected that the instrument emits a sound, also known as musical note. If you pay good attention on it, you will notice that along the side of the instrument there will be other orifices metrically scattered. With the tip of your fingers, cover and release the orifices in a random way, simultaneous or not. Keep on blowing in order to make the emitted sound be continuous. Remember to always recover your breath from time to time, or the suppressed air in your lungs can finish, resulting in a possible death. It can be done with a simple mouth opening followed by an air breathing in. Each musician has his own melody style and notes sequence. You can reproduce one or invent your own.
